Project Background
The project was a part of my First Year of Architecture studies, where the students were required to prepare an an architectural analysis of their ancestral homes in rural areas. The course was carried out over a period of weeks with an intent to imbibe architectural understanding amongst the students. It was done in groups of 2 and the final submission had to be in the form of a single A1 sheet. The project was followed by similar analysis and understanding of urban environment.
Objective
The case for documentation taken up was my group partner’s house in Nagaon near Alibag. The presentation included information about the location, its accessibility to architectural drawings and sketches of the house. It also included information about the Maratha for of Murud Janjir.
